Some new Vita games were announced

After some lukewarm sales numbers, the Vita got major attention at this year’s TGS with new colors and a manga reader. And new games, yay!

Valhalla Knights 3 is set to launch in Japan in 2013, but it’s a safe bet that it’ll be released in other regions as well. This RPG is a sequel to PSP games Valhalla Knights and Valhalla Knights 2.

The second game announced for 2013 is a re-release of Oboromuramasa (Muramasa: The Demon Blade). It will be updated with some new visuals and new gameplay features specific to the Vita. It was originally released for the Wii in 2009 and got praise for its artistic visual style.

Another Nintendo-only, Japan-only franchise crossing over to the Vita is Senran Kagura. Shinovi Versus is the sequel to the two previous Senran Kagura iterations, both released last year for the 3DS. It’s not likely it will be localized outside of Japan, seeing as the first two never reached the west.

As a bonus, the PSP game God Eater 2 will be coming to the Vita. The two versions will be able to interact with eachother, making it possible for cross platform co-op between Vita- and PSP-gamers. God Eater was released in the west, and it’s likely God Eater 2 for the Vita will also be.
