Okami HD launches on PSN

Okami HD by Capcom is now available on PSN across the globe. You can pick it up for $19.99 / €19.99 / £15.99.

The beautifully drawn watercolor and calligraphy graphics are remastered in full 1080p HD resolution and the game also supports PlayStation Move and trophies.

Playing as Amatarasu, the sun goddess who takes on the form of a wolf, your goal is to bring life back to the world. Bringing life back to the world involves defeating lots of beasts. With each beast you defeat, the world’s life force is restored just a bit, with colors and eventually people appearing.

I’m an owner of the original PS2 version, and I have to admit I never finished it. Dunno why though. I think I’ll add this version to my backlog and save for when I’m done with AC3/AC3:Liberation/NFS:MW. I remember being a fan so god knows why I stopped playing it. Shame on me.

Everybody I’ve spoken to about this game praises it, so I have no choice but to pick it up! Might even give it a go with the Move…

@baj Okami is a beautiful game. The only major issue i remember having with this was after sinking hours and hours into the game and clearing what i had thought was the last boss. The game opened up for another 20 hour romp to the real last boss battle. The issue was, there wasn’t very much in the way of new mechanics introduced after the first half of the game the 2nd half seemed forced and grindy. It would have been a far greater game if it was shorter/more varied after the first 20 hours. Will probably pick this up again though for the hd- ness and to support a potential sequel 8)

Interesting. Sounds like a bummer with 20h grind though, but I’ll at least give it a proper shot this time. Thanks for the input :)
