SCEA will talk about the “Overview of PS4 for Developers” at GDC

If you just can’t wait to see what Sony has in store for the PS4 at E3 later in June, you will be pleased to hear that they are doing a talk at the Game Developers Conference. SCEA will “discuss the technology from a development standpoint as well as from the design side” in a talked named “Overview of PS4 for Developers”. GDC 2013 will be held in San Francisco on March 25th – 29th.

Those of you familiar with the classic episodes of the podcast 1UP Yours will also be happy to see the “man-god” himself, Shane Bettenhausen, hosting a panel called “Bedroom Developments: Making PlayStation Games in Your Underwear”.

“By eliminating the need for special development hardware and creating a simple portal for publishing, PlayStation Mobile makes it possible for smaller teams to create compelling experiences that reach hardcore gamers across a vast array of devices. And although the PSM platform has only recently launched, it’s already attracting a diverse crowd of game-makers, including established indie teams like Big Blue Bubble, Inc. and up-and-coming “bedroom developer” talent like Necrosoft, LLC. In this panel, a panel of developers will share their personal experiences designing games for PlayStation Mobile, offering tips and insights for others eager to explore this new indie frontier.”

Also doing talks at GDC from SCEA are Gene Semel and Randall Lowe.

Representing SCEE are Chris Burgess and Jason Page.
