PS4 survey suggest new features – including the ability to change your username

A survey sent out to PS4 owners add some hints as to what can be expected in future firmware updates. The most noticeable ones being the player reputation system and the ability to change your username. A reputation system is typically used to make life a bit more boring if you’re being an asshat, by allowing other users to report you for various actions and then act on that by for example implementing a temporary ban, or in multiplayer game specific cases, put you in matches with others like you.

Being able to change your username is something that people have been yelling about for years. Personally I have no interest in changing mine, but apparently some people made really bad choices when they first signed up and now live to regret it.

Other features mentioned is an increase in party chat (8+ people), synch messages across platforms and hiding your online status if you’re feeling anonymous one day.

The survey is barely an indication of what might come, so there’s nothing to conclude from this except that the good folks at Sony is thinking about it.
