Sniper Elite 3 Ultimate Edition new box art sports a misleading score of 8.2

8.2 out of 10 isn’t such a bad score when you think about it, but considering it is the very best score Sniper Elite 3 got I’d say it’s a bit misleading. The lonesome one word review spells out “GREAT” in capital letters almost feels sarcastic in this context. In fact more than half of all reviews (currently over 40) actually gave the game 7/10 or less and you have to ask yourself if an “Ultimate Edition” is really warranted.

At least 505 Games and Rebellion packed in additional DLC content for this Ultimate Edition of the game which will be available on March 10, 2015 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

This is how it always is…..scores on boxart are never ‘average score’, they’re handpicked from the reviewers that gave them the best score. It’s been this way since the beginning of the gaming industry, what rock have you been hiding under? Honestly.

You think developers, like, add Metacritic Averages on their boxart or something idiotic like that? rofl.

If IGN said somewhere in their review that the game is ‘Great’ then they can use that word, or any that are within the review that exemplify their game from their own words. If the score from IGN (Which it says 8.2 from IGN UNDERNEATH THE NUMBER ITSELF) Not a total average from Other reviewers, then that score is what they can use. That was the whole point of reviews, or movie reviews, same thing. Movie reviews get quoted and used to exemplify films too.

So in your opinion you shouldn’t call out bad/false behavior just because everyone takes it for granted? I disagree.

The Last of Us: Remastered with 200 game of the year awards can do this kind of thing. A game with ONE score over 8, shouldn’t.
