It has been ten years since the Raccoon City incident and the President of the United States has decided to reveal the truth behind what took place in the belief that it will curb the current resurgence in bioterrorist activity. Due to be by the President's side is his personal friend and Raccoon City survivor, Leon S. Kennedy, but when the venue suffers a bioterrorist attack, Leon is forced to face a President transformed beyond recognition and make his hardest ever decision. At the same time, Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance member Chris Redfield arrives in China, itself under threat of a bioterrorist attack. With no country safe from these attacks and the ensuing outbreaks, the entire world's population is united by a common fear that there is no hope left.
Resident Evil 6 promises yet another dramatic, frightening experience blending action and survival horror. In a first for the franchise, RE 6 sees series favorites Leon and Chris come together to face this unprecedented threat. They are joined by new characters, each with their own unique perspective and involvement, in this relentless outbreak enacted on a global scale.

An excellent Resident Evil story told from several fan favorite character's point of view. With four separate yet similar campaigns, Resident Evil 6 delivers plenty of gaming to go around.

Shoot and move at the same time! This long complained about and requested gameplay mechanic is now incorporated.

Camera angles for cutscenes and some in game combat is very impressive. They make you enjoy these moments even more.

Sound in this game is superb all around. Great voice acting is spot on even if the script is not at times. Environmental and creature effects top it all off delivering a great blend with the music which is perfect for every situation you encounter.

Collectible figures and medals leave plenty for those wanting to quench that completion need.

Standard Resident Evil online modes are still here with cooperative being the main one. Three of the campaigns were designed around cooperative gameplay. Agent hunt mode mixes things up and lets you play as an infected.

In numerous campaigns you find yourself replaying the same redundant set pieces without discovering new plot material. Having one campaign and jumping between characters would suit the game better.

Options are nice, but Resident Evil 6 has too many menus for you to navigate through. Simply starting a normal game feels like a bad QTE (quick time event).

With Resident Evil 4 helping pioneer QTEs it is really disturbing to see how poorly Resident Evil 6 incorporates them. The QTEs are very limiting and often do not represent any action your character is doing. Several sections of the game also overuse these poorly crafted QTEs.

Multi-tiered Boss fights drag on through many chapters and numerous battles while not innovating or expanding on them in any good way.

Partner AI is overpowered. They will never die unless an event in game requires it, and they will never run out of ammo.

Camera angles during melee combat can be problematic at times.

Horrible low resolution textures are way too frequently mixed in with beautiful textures and lighting.
