Let’s have a look at Guacamelee for PS3 & Vita, por favor.

If you’re a fan of the platformer Outland, Lucha libre and chickens I will bet you a couple of pesos that you will be excited by Guacamelee! The story begins in a dusty Mexican town where the agave farmer named Juan Aguacate is minding his own business. Suddenly evil rears it’s ugly head and the daughter of El Presidente is kidnapped by the Charro Skeleton. Ay ay ay. Bravely, Juan sets out to save the young señorita, probably packing some nachos (and chickens) along for the ride.

The player will travel between  “The World of the Living” and “The World of the Dead” on his quest in a classic 2D open-world, Metroid-vania style platformer. Melee combat is the main tool to fight off the mexican villains but will also come in handy to open up new paths in the environment. Much like in Outland, the game also uses a dimension switching mechanic to toggle the area and avoid deadly traps.

Oh! The best part? Co-operative same-screen multiplayer will be available for the entire story. Be sure to check the trailer, aaaariba!
