Book of Spells and J.K. Rowling brings storytelling to life

Wonderbook: Book of Spells takes the EyePet concept into the fantasy settings. Using the PS Move controller and augmented reality (AR) you will be able to display, read and discover an interactive book on-screen. The $39.99 Wonderbook and Blu-ray will be available later this year, 2012.

Wonderbook: Book of Spells is the first of many planned Wonderbook titles. The game was announced and showcased on the E3 Sony press conference and although the actual presentation was rather rocky, fans of Harry Potter and all things J.K. Rowling should be excited.
The family/children title was made in collaboration with Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling. Each chapter of the book is written by the fictional character Miranda Goshawk over 200 years ago. You will be guided through the art of magic, learning magic spells, dueling, and much more.

Wonderbook: Book of Spells is the closest a Muggle can come to a real spellbook. I’ve loved working with Sony’s creative team to bring my spells, and some of the history behind them, to life. This is an extraordinary device that offers a reading experience like no other.
– J.K. Rowling
