Mount your ridonkulous ride, it’s brawler time in Sacred Citadel!

Remember Golden Axe? The side-scrolling, beat ’em up, hack and slash arcade video game originally released in 1989 by Sega? Well Deep Silver and Southend Interactive took a long hard look at the genre and decided to make something similar with a modern twist. The result is called Sacred Citadel and it’s a standalone game that takes place in the ‘Sacred’ universe prior to Sacred 3.

You will be able to play drop-in/drop-out 3 player Co-op as the Safiri Warrior, Ancarian Ranger or the Khukuri Shaman. Expect RPG elements such as loot and skill trees and action elements like dual-wielding, combos and of course, double jumps!

Sacred Citadel will be out in 2013 as a digital download.
