New Assassin’s Creed in new time period

Assassin’s Creed III came out just a few months ago so it came as a bit of a surprise when Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot started talking about the next game this early. It was at the third-quarter earnings call that Yves said the game will take place in a new time period featuring a new hero.

Here’s what he said:

“We are delighted and proud to announce today that in financial year ’14, we will introduce an all-new Assassin’s Creed hero, within an all new team and time period, and we expect it to be another major leap forward for the franchise. It is the benefit of multiple teams working on multiple chapters of the product, each getting several years to make their versions of an Assassin’s Creed game.”

He also said that more information will be out “very soon”. Who doesn’t love a good tease?

The far east version of the assassin is depicted here by Tiggstar and it’s been rumored that an iteration of the game might take place in Fuedal Japan.

So far the assassin’s adventures have taken place during the Crusade, the Renaissance and the American Revolution. What do you think is next?
