Analysis of the PlayStation 4 console based on Sony’s E3 teaser trailer

With less than a month to Sony’s big E3 press conference on June 10th (6:00pm Pacific Time) we get to see a glimpse of the mysterious console. Here’s what we think all the sleek details of the console actually are.

Analysis of the PlayStation 4

The number 4 from the logo “PS4” engraved into the console

Orbis? This shot is actually the grip of the DualShock 4, the part which rests in the palm of your hand

The iconic PlayStation logo is embossed somewhere on the PS4

A heightened edge is probably situated along the full length of the console. This might even be where a blue LED light will be emitted from

Probably the most prominent feature of the console, the fan vents. These are most likely on the bottom front side of the console

Here’s a shot of the PlayStation 4 camera, the far right part of the 4 channel microphone array

This is an intriguing part of the console. Judging by the white background it is situated at the edge of the console and looks like an exhaust. The console might very well have a rounded back which ends with these orbis-shaped vents

Another smaller type of exhaust, this might run the full length around the console, providing good ventilation to the system

Here we see the larger glossy metal grills again compared to the matte black surface on top

This interesting feature might be an eject button, part of the top layer of the console, where you insert discs

The signature blue PlayStation color is making a comback with the PS4. There might even be an actual LED bar on the console itself. If so it could work in tandem with the light bars on the controllers

A shot of the console’s sleek minimalistic top left corner. As you can see the console might be able to open up it’s top layer, either for ports or discs

Looks like either hooks or mechanical buttons for the top part of the console. Also notice the matte surface of the bottom part compared to the glossy black

Another shot of the grills this time at an angle suggesting this is indeed the front angled part of the console

Another shot of the stand-alone PS4 Camera

Here you almost see the PS4 camera lens
