No Man’s Sky is an upcoming science fiction game developed and published by Hello Games who previously made Joe Danger and Joe Danger 2 The Movie. This new game is something else though, on paper, something really great. The game is based on a procedurally generated open world. And with world they really mean world, it’s a whole universe.
No Man’s Sky was announced at VGX 2013 (watch the trailer below) and we were wowed with the promise of planetary exploration, deep oceans, space-based battles and seamlessly going from the depths of the sea on one planet to a star you see on the horizon. Each planet will have its own ecosystem with potentially harmful inhabitants.
There is no word on what platforms No Man’s Sky will be out on yet, but we’re crossing our fingers.
A well crafted and suspenseful thriller that falls short in originality and poor traversal mechanics
