The previously announced partnership between Spotify and Sony bear its fruits today with the launch of the Spotify app for PS3 and PS4. The service will be called PlayStation Music and replaces the old Music Unlimited service. It can be used without PS Plus and there will be a free and paid version as per usual. You can use it to replace the music in games you play, and it features most of the basic stuff from Spotify like playlists, browsing, suggestions and more. The app will be further developed in the future to support more of its mobile/desktop counterpart features.
Simply start Music Unlimited and you’ll be taken to the download page or check the store.
