Will this one be another Kickstarter record? During Sony’s E3 media briefing it was announced that Shenmue 3 would be (partially) funded through Kickstarter. As I’m writing this 7000 people have pledged $605,672 towards the $2 000 000 goal, so it’s tempting to claim that this is a safe bet. Fans have been clamoring for another Shenmue and just like the rest of the press conference, it looks like everything will be delivered.
