It’s the year of the pirates with Skull & Bones, the Destiny of the seas

It was only a matter of time before the ship portion of Black Flag became its own thing, and here we are, with Skull & Bones from Ubisoft Singapore.

It’s an open world RPG where you start out as a fresh captain, customize your ship and set sail for the open seas in order to loot, find cannon fodder, or mess up other players in a bunch of 5v5 multiplayer modes. On your own you will be taking on bigger and better ships as you grow in ranks, upgrade your vessel and take bigger chances while also increasing the bounty on your own head.

Skull & Bones could be a multiplayer hoot with your friends, but you will have to fall 2018 before you can dive into it. A beta is expected prior to that.

You can find screenshots and gameplay videos on the game page.
