Spiritual successor to Hexen 2, Graven announced for PS4 and PS5

3D Realms is throwing a digital party this weekend called Realms Deep 2020, and what better way of kicking things off than announcing a brand new old game. Calling it old is not a dig at anything, but Graven boasts that 20+ year old Unreal Engine look with style.

The player takes the role of an outcast priest in a quest for redemption, and to do that you can wield a spell book, a wrist mounted crossbow, magic staves and more. By helping townspeople, whooping ass and crushing literally thousands of boxes, you earn coins to upgrade weapons and gear. Upgrades also lets you revisit old locations to find secrets and hidden spaces.

Graven supports local split screen co-op, a great feature on its own, but you can also join up to 3 other players online for what I can only imagine is complete mayhem.

It will be out for current- and next gen consoles next year, but please do check out the trailer below, and visit the game page for more gameplay and screenshots. It’s being developed by Slipgate Ironworks and co-published by 3D Realms and 1C Entertainment.
