These are the PlayStation things you can do at SpillExpo 2013 this weekend

SpillExpo 2013 (GameExpo) kicks off tomorrow for the second time since its debut last year right outside Oslo, Norway. It might have been a tiny bit underwhelming last year, but they promise to make it all better this year with 3 days full of presentations and tons of games to try out. With new consoles right around the corner, the expo will be filled to the brim with next-gen content.

We attended last year giving away heaps of swag like games, PS Plus subscriptions and trinkets. It was a hoot! We will of course be there this year as well, but without all the goodies; now we’re there to soak in all the goodness laid before us.

If you’re a PlayStation fan and you’re dropping by, here’s a few of the things you might want to do:

Friday (13.00 – 20.00)
13:30 Bioware and Electronic Arts will showcase 45 minutes of Dragon Age: Inquisition. That’s almost an hour of next-gen goodness.
15:00 Martin Lindell from DICE will do a talk about the development of Battlefield 4. Great chance to learn a bit about the inner workings of stuff.
15:30 Guerrilla will showcase its upcoming Killzone: Shadow Fall
16:30 PlayStation 4 demonstration showcasing functions and other interesting tidbits
18:30 Namco Bandai will present and showcase Dark Souls 2. Remember that the next beta happens on Sunday!

Saturday (11.00 – 17.00)
14:30 PlayStation 4 demonstration showcasing functions and other interesting tidbits

Sunday (11.00 – 17.00)
12:00 Bioware and Electronic Arts will showcase 45 minutes of Dragon Age: Inquisition.
13:30 RedThread Games will present Dreamfall Chapters. I’m mentioning this cause it might end up on our favorite platform at some point.
14:30 PlayStation 4 demonstration showcasing functions and other interesting tidbits
15:00 Namco Bandai will present and showcase Dark Souls 2.

These are just the PlayStation-centric things happening at the expo. There are multiple presentations every day ranging from how to get into game development, being a game journalist and of course other platforms and games. You can check out the full schedule here.

One of us will be wearing a PSMania jacket, so if you are brave enough come say hello. And if you have questions regarding PlayStation and specifically the PS4 we’ll do our damn best to answer them as well.

What did you get your hands on?

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, Resogun, Contrast, Driveclub, Killzone: Shadow Fall, Knack and Fifa 14 were all available for testing. They also had GT6 (car seat setup), tons of Vita stuff (mostly older stuff though) + The Playroom and a demo of their VR headset.

If you would pick one, which one are you looking forward to the most of the games you saw?

Probably Killzone: Shadow Fall. The game looks gorgeous. Kinda tough picking between this and Resogun though.
